Prof. YANG Bang-cheng

Outstanding Teacher

       YANG Bang-cheng, he is a professor and postgraduate tutor, an excellent mechanics teacher (China society of mechanics), an outstanding teacher in our university, a visiting scholar at University of South Carolina (2000.1-2003.7). He teachesundergraduate courses, including Theoretical mechanics, Mechanics of materials, Engineering mechanics, Fracture mechanics; Material’s damage and fracture (for graduate students). He directs undergraduate practical courses, including Mechanical innovation practice, Perceptual practice, Production practice and Graduation theses. He won University’s outstanding director for undergraduate design/thesis. He has presided construction of Provincial key specialty and characteristic specialty (Engineering mechanics). He engaged in construction of Provincial key discipline and characteristic discipline (Mechanics), National /Provincial superior courses (Theoretical mechanics/ Basic mechanics), Provincial teaching team (Basic mechanics). Majored in Experimental mechanics and engineering application. He has hosted and participated more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects. Published over 70 papers (7 SCI, 15EI) and owned three patents. Directed postgraduate students for 14 years; one student won national scholarship. Won honors of Excellent mechanics teacher(China society of mechanics), University outstanding teacher, "Red cloud" gardener award,Provincial excellent textbook award (Engineering Mechanics, coediting),University excellent director of graduation design /thesis,Universityoutstanding Winner for teaching achievements, third prize of Provincial science and technology progress and third prize of Provincial natural science.
